Pace in recent years surrounding cryptocurrencies and virtual currency becoming legal tender has quickened especially within Latin America. Questions are raised predominantly of how the market should initially classify cryptocurrencies and the perceptions of regulation surrounding such digital assets. Record’s Rebecca Venis, Head of Strategic Initiatives, offers her thoughts on the region quickly forming a ‘bitcoin-block’.
